About The Small Farm Today Magazine
Small Farm Today magazine was founded by Ron Macher, a small farmer in central Missouri in 1984 and is dedicated to the preservation and promotion of small farming, rural living community, sustainability and agripeneurship. It is published on a farm, by a farmer, for farmers.
Our readers are general small family farmers - full time or part time - and many are using alternatives such as growing high-value crops, raising unusual livestock and direct marketing their products to bring in their income. They are extremely loyal readers, most read the magazine from cover to cover including advertising, and many pass the magazine along to neighbors, friends and relatives.
The circulation of 4,500 consisting of paid subscribers, news stand sales and controlled circulation; the geographic distribution is international. Our readership is over 7,000.
Small Farm Today is a 32+ page saddle stitched magazine that is published every other month (6 issues per year). Offset printed in Columbia, Missouri using soy ink on non-glossy, recycled paper stock.
